Growing the contact lens category in Mexico is a major focal point for the CooperVision Mexico customer team. More than 20 eye care practitioners (ECPs) and key opinion leaders met with CooperVision Mexico representatives in May for a quarterly meeting to discuss key topics of most relevance to consumers in the market.
Influential eye care practitioners who are members of the “CooperClub,” CooperVision Mexico’s social media marketing group, were selected to participate. The objective was to discuss the current market situation in Mexico and to propose strategies and tactics to spark category growth and promote independent optical stores. ECPs also discussed the recent launch of Liberti®, the new contact lens house brand for ECPs only , and the Freedom Project, an initiative aimed at increasing product sales to independent optical stores in the country.
CooperVision Mexico leadership team members Gisela Peláez (Brand Manager), Enrique Contreras (General Manager, Mexico), Claudia Andrade (Regional Marketing Director), Francisco Tlapale (Marketing Analyst), Fernanda Guzman (Sales Manager) and Ricardo Pintor (Regional Professional Affairs Manager) joined the conversation with practitioners at the meeting.
Both groups agreed on the need for closely monitoring online sales, ECPs reviewing materials prior to new product launches and addressing patient loyalty issues, among the various discussion items.
As key industry influencers, attendees frequently share CooperVision product information and their experience fitting our products with other colleagues across their social media platforms.
