CooperVision China Pilot Project: Van Offers Free Eye Exams & Fittings

CooperVision China has launched a pilot project featuring a company-owned, fully equipped van to offer free eye exams to people in select cities.

Team members promoted the van’s inaugural trip to Nanjing City earlier this year on social media, collaborating with a key local industry partner, ShiKe Optical. More than 420 people visited during that stop. Of those, 90 adults received eye exams and refractions, 210 signed up for free Proclear® 1 day and Biomedics® Now contact lens trials, and 40 consumers ordered CooperVision contact lenses with special discounts and a free gift.

“This project is a wonderful way to showcase our company purpose to help improve the way people see each day,” says William Cheung, CooperVision China Country Manager. “The van is a mobile brand ambassador, directly promoting CooperVision products among our most important stakeholders—both partnering with key accounts and serving contact lens wearers—in targeted cities in Eastern China.”

The remodeled Ford Transit van is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments to provide professional on-site eye exams, refractions, fitting evaluations, diagnostic trials, patient education and consultations in a clinical setting.
